We’re based on a stunning island where time and pace are dictated by the weather – tides, storms, and calm days. Fedje is the perfect place to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with peace, nature, big ideas, narrow roads, no stress, plenty of weather, wild seas, and of course,
a whisky distillery.
THE VISIT
We welcome you to visit us on the island of Fedje for tours and tastings at our distillery. Whether you're a whisky connoisseur, a whisky nerd, or simply a curious group of friends or colleagues, you’ll see how we produce whisky and other spirits at our wonderful distillery. Delivered by our brilliant tour guides, you’ll also learn all about our ambitious founder’s vision for Feddie Ocean Distillery.
PLACES TO STAY
Fedje Island AS offers eight large, well-equipped apartments with three bedrooms and a balcony, perfectly located in the heart of the harbour. Groups visiting the island can rent “Utsikten,” a big apartment with plenty of room and all the facilities you need for great meetings. Fedje Island AS also organizes food catering for groups.
You can easily visit Fedje for a distillery tour on a day trip. But there’s much more to explore on Fedje, with scenic walking paths, lighthouse visits, fishing trips, activities, and nature experiences. It’s well worth staying overnight to take your time and fully experience the island and the sea –
the perfect escape from everyday life.
DAY TRIP, WEEKEND OR A FULL HOLIDAY
We have several other ventures on the island providing accommodations, food, drinks and events.
Our friends at Sankerens Løe runs a pop up café and restaurant, serving traditional food from their own foraging and upbringing - and provides guided tours of the island and distillery. The couple works close with the distillery in both foraging local botanicals and guiding guests - and their hens and sheep devours our spent grains.
If you're arriving with a mobile home, or looking for a place to spend some quiet time, Fedje Ferietun is the local camping site. Maybe rent a mini house with a great view? Although they don't provide mini golf, you'll find two Disc golf fields on the island to make up for it.
Fedje Havstover provides fishermen's cabins with a great view of the harbour and the distillery.
